As a charity, SSS is governed by a board of elected Trustees. Their key roles include ensuring the choir is meeting its charitable objectives, setting and reviewing the choir's policies and overseeing the management of its resources. The Musical Director is invited to attend Trustees meetings, but has no voting rights.
Three of the Trustees are elected as Officers - the Chair, Secretary & Treasurer - and they, along with Musical Director, form the Management Committee that deals with the day-to-day practicalities of the running the choir.
However, it is the Musical Director who has ultimate responsibility in matters relating to the repertoire and performance of the choir.
