Some of us at the first Singing for the Soul session
Enjoy a good sing? Find out more about our Friday mornings sessions of music, fun and friendship:
- Word sheets are provided and cover a range of songs, from oldies like 'Moon River' & 'Que Sera, Sera,' hits from the the Beatles, Stevie Wonder & Abba, to name but a few, and karaoke classics like 'I Will Survive' and 'Sweet Caroline.'
- There is no charge as everything is generously funded by Emmaus Suffolk and supported by Suffolk Soul Singers.
- Everyone is welcome, including accompanied children. Drop in when you can, or make it a regular thing. It's up to you!
- During the break, you can buy a lovely cup of tea or coffee at the Community Cafe - maybe even a slice of cake - although many of our regular singers are also tempted to stay for a delicious, but reasonably-priced lunch in the cafe. This provides a great opportunity to get to know each other better, too! There is also the chance to enjoy pottering around the Charity Shop in order to pick up a bargain there.
So you see - a morning spent at the Royal Oak, 'singing for your soul' can do wonders for your well-being!
